A trend that I’ve noticed the past few years is the increasing use of extra offensive linemen to run the ball.

The Triple Gun had its Hammer Package which was a short yardage package that was a pure package of physicality. It employs 7 offensive Linemen, 2 Tight Ends – H-Back types. Our goal was to get a hat on a hat (with our hats being more physical than the defense’s hats). Then let The Tailback find a seam while attacking the LOS. Not fancy but effective.
