Gerry DiNardo was an outstanding player at Notre Dame playing for Ara Parseghian . DiNardo had an outstanding career as a College Football Coach and was the inventor of the “I-Bone Offense” – a combination the  ”Maryland Stacked I” & the “Wishbone”.
