With the resurgence of Navy’s option attack & their use of Midline from the Gun, I started getting questions if we used Midline in the Triple Gun Offense. The answer is but in a very limited way. It was an “Answer Play” not a Core Play. So here’s how we made it fit the Triple Gun:

1. We ran it from  3 WR set (Trips or Twins)
2. We ran  it as Read – Give or keep with no pitch option.
3. We used the Pitch Man or Tight Slot as a Lead Blocker fo the Quarterback.
4. We ran to either an aggressive 3 Tech. a 4I or slanting Nose.

It became successful in 3rd & 4 to 6 situations
