The Gun Midline is not a Triple Option. There is no pitch phase to the play. Instead the pitch back is used as an insert Lead Blocker for the QB keep. This makes it a very low risk play. Using a 3 X 1 Formation spreads the defense out to help create space in the front. In this clip we run it to the single receiver side in the Red Zone.
