This is a variation of our Stretch Pass and allows us to use 6 man protection with almost no additional protection for the offensive line. We combine the Dropback Pass to one side in this case, The Vertical Route which is a little wider than the Stretch because we line up in a Wide Slot Set to attack the field Seam putting the FS in a bind. To the Boundary we add a Quick Game Combo, it could be Hitch/Seam, Fade/Stick or in this case Slice/Seam.
VS Blitz the QB goes to the Quick side. But he always goes there if it’s open. Note how the Slice Route occupies the ILB opening up the Seam for a big gain
