The Triple Gun Midline Read is in the same grouping as the Triple Gun Zone Read. Tagging a play “Read” means there is no pitch phase on this play – it is give or keep. The Midline Read is NOT a core play. We only use it in specific situations:

1. VS a wide 3 Technique that is tough to double.
2. VS a 34 Defense active Nose Guard
3. VS a 34 Defense with 4is
4. In a 3rd & 5/6 when the D. Line is getting upfield
5. If the Defense is using two 3 techniques

We usually run it with 3 WRs so the HB is the Lead Blocker for the Quarterback.

The blocking is the same as Gun Triple Except – The Playside has Playside Backer & doesn’t touch the B Gap defender & The Playside has C Gap (Man Outside)
