The use of High % passes to control the clock & move the the chains is one of the tenets of the Triple Gun Offense. The Shovel Pass to the Tailback is blocked exactly like the Tailback Draw but the Shovel Pass is more deceptive because the Quarterback has dropped deeper than the TB. We can tag this with “Stick” & the QB reads the OLB – he throws the Shovel unless the OLB freezes then he throws the Stick
