When you think of Option Football, Paul Johnson’s name will surely come up. Paul Johnson & Ben Griffith put together a package that I call the “Spread Option”  at the University of Hawaii. It was basically a marriage between the Flexbone made famous by Fisher DeBerry & Ken Hatfield with The Run & Shoot popularized by Mouse Davis.
