When we founded The CompuSports Media Exchange in 2002,  our primary mission was to provide a distribution and marketing platform for self-publishing Authors and small software developers who served the sports coaching community.  We also assisted to Authors who needed help converting their book from physical (print) to digital (eBook) format, and video publishers who needed help converting from analog (VHS tape) to digital (DVD and online) format.

A secondary mission of the CompuSports Media Exchange was to provide information (articles) from a wide range of authors for the benefit of our visitors.

One of our first contributors, Coach Larry Beckish, had written two books: The Trap Option 40 Plus 60 Equals Option, and I Believe in Cream, Apples and Football.  Coach Beckish was retired, and had an inventory of both books that he was prepared to ship directly (drop-ship), so even though we wanted to remain focused on eBooks, we created an older form that readers of his articles could use to order one or both of his books.  It was truly a win-win-win, as our site’s collection of articles grew quickly,  Coach Beckish received many orders for his book, and our visitors benefited from the excellent book, and other materials that “The ‘ol Coach” would send along with the books. Coach Beckish often communicated with his customers and those who read his articles, offering ideas and tips drawn from his vast experience as a College Football Coach – usually on his favorite topic – Option Football.

After 10 years or so, Coach Beckish informed us that he had exhausted his inventory of books, and would not be doing an additional printing of either book. That meant that his popular “x and o” book – The Trap Option, 40 Plus 60 equals Option,  would only be available online at Option Central.

For this reason, we decided to package the eBook  Coaching the Option Quarterback with an introductory subscription to Option Central, where an online version of the Trap Option and an instruction video are available.

We hope you enjoy the many articles and insights provided by Coach Beckish that can be found in our Articles section, and encourage you to drop him a note (his email is provided at the bottom of the articles)  if you want to talk Option Football.
