Jet Sweep From Wide Ends Formation
A Special Play of the Day, a Free Chapter from our course we did for CoachTube on the Jet Sweep Series. The Jet Swept is one of the simplest Supplementary Runs in the Triple Gun Playbook. The key to running simple plays is to MAKE THEM LOOK COMPLEX! So this is how we dressed up this Sweep.
1. We made the formation complex by lining up in Wide Ends. This is an Unbalanced set with the #2 WR to the field ineligible but the Single Receiver to the Boundary is a Slot who is great Jet Sweeper. We can juggle this by making the tight Slot to the field #3 ineligible by stepping up on the LoS & stepping a WR off.
2. So the 1st thing a defense has to do is figure out who is eligible. Then they have to deal with the Jet Sweep Series. Sweep, Dive, Half Reverse, QB ISO & Play Action Pass.
