The 1st Football coaching book I ever read was The Split Line T Offense by Jake Gaither of FAMU. That’s where I stated using line splits to maximize an offense. This eventuality led to “Smart Splits”  I had the opportunity to meet Coach Gaither in 1979 in Atlanta & told him. Here’s a little about a very special coach.
