Chris Ault Transformed University of Nevada with a Pistol
I had the privilege of serving on the NCAA College Football Rules Committee with Nevada’s Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Chris Ault.
Coach Ault loved to talk Xs & Os so we had many discussions about the Pistol Offense. At the time he was more of a Delaware Down Option team than Veer Option. His Tail back was Deep (not conducive to Gun Triple), but his innovative “Pistol System” transformed Nevada Football:
