The Flip Triple is a very effective misdirection play especially when a defense is keying on motion. The play action pass off the Flip Triple can be devastating as well. It’s simply a Post/Wheel Pattern with the QB reading inside/out…
The Post/Out Combo is a great frontside or field route regardless of whether it’s a 3 or 4 Shell. It’s a 3 level flood pattern off a Gun Triple fake. This puts the secondary in a serious conflict https://youtu.be/_8fUvyu69Us…
Attacking the 44 Defense with a 2 TE set is a great change of pace because it creates an extra gap. This opens up the dive phase of the Gun Triple which forces the defense to compress which then opens…
The Hitch is such a potent weapon that 3 Shell defenses play press Man Free in the Red Zone. The Triple Gun answer is the Fade/Seam Combo. The Seam Isolates the CB one on one with our WR with no FS…
The Jet Sweep is a great way to get Speed in Space. In this clip we add 2 extra blockers by using an unbalanced formation, Ends and by tagging the play “lead” which makes the Tailback the lead blocker. https://youtu.be/XyGr0UDP464…
With the Olympics upon us, it reminds of one of the most inspiring moments for me. Rafer Johnson’s comeback win in the Decathlon was the first but this one was the biggest upset - it was Rulon Gardner’s upset win…
When in doubt throw the hitch - it’s our “go to” pass. We always find a way of throwing the hitch, either by formation or motion but we’ll always know how to throw the hitch in every game - here…
The Play Action Crossers is a basically throwback flood. With Gun Triple Action going to the right and the crossing routes going left. In this clip the QB takes the easy throw & hits a wide open Drag route for…
The Gun Triple forces radical adjustments made by the defense. This 43 Defense played a 61 Defense most of the game designed to stop the run. The DTs line up in Double 3 techs which creates almost an automatic give…
The QB ISO is my favorite complimentary play to the Gun Triple because it has a Counter effect on the defense. The defense over-pursues and the QB runs away from the backside LB for a big TD. Note the FS…
