The Gun Triple is the most Strategically Flexible Play there is. It is a Sideline to Sideline Play. The Quarterback looks at the front for “8 Between the Slots throw Quicks & Hots”.  So the Gun Triple becomes a Quick Screen without an audible.

The Tailback can cut back behind the Center if the backside backer flows over the center – a built in Counter.

If the frontside is open it becomes a Tailback Dive, but if the D squeezes the Dive, the QB has a pitch/keep decision on the perimeter – 5 PLAYS IN ONE – Sideline to Sideline.

Here’s the Gun Triple with a little illusion & deception thrown in.
