Memorial Day was always special to me. In my younger years it meant school was almost over. The Memorial Day Parade featured free Hot Dogs, and everyone seemed very happy.

As I got older I came to understand the sacrifices men made so I could get free Hot Dogs. One of the generals I was always intrigued by was General George Patton. He was a great general on the battlefield but always had detractor.  But regardless the enemy freaked him so I would want him on my side. Here’s Victor Davis Hanson on General Patton
