Triple Gun Virtual Playbooks

The Triple Gun Virtual Playbook  series opened a new chapter in coaching education.

Based on Tony DeMeo’s Play of the Day concept, each volume in the series consists of a collection of videos  produced by CompuSports Media Services for Option Central – the web’s first site focused on Option football .  Each play is presented in Option Central’s Chalk Talk format – a combination of video, telestration and narration in which Coach DeMeo explains the play and discusses the details of running it.

Volume I provided an overview of the entire Triple Gun Offense with 10 plays that illustrate the diversity and flexibility of the Triple Gun Attack. In Volume II, the focus turned to a single phase of The Triple Gun Offense: The Double Option.   The latest in the series, Volume III goes into the details of the Quick Game and the Boot off it.

Coach DeMeo chose the Triple Gun Quick Game for the third topic because it can be used with any offense, and is an essential part of today’s game  – especially for a team that must control the clock.  The Quick Game fits in perfectly with the Triple Gun Principle of  “Strategic Flexibility” because the play changes after the snap of the ball (The Triple Gun Quick Game uses route conversions and converts to a bootleg pass as an escape for the  Quarterback if he doesn’t like the front side routes).

The Quick Game collection includes eleven Triple Gun Quick Passes, and includes bonus sections on the Quick Game protection vs the game’s most popular fronts and blitzes, and the philosophy and concepts of The Triple Gun Quick Game, including the influence of Bill Walsh and his “West Coast Offense” on the Triple Gun.
